Senior Project Developer

What You Can Expect

The Project Developer, Senior will lead the development activities for all ENGIE distributed solar and storage projects, guiding them from site control to Notice to Proceed (NTP) for greenfield sites, origination projects, and M&A initiatives throughout the United States. Key responsibilities include land acquisition, permitting, environmental reviews, and other facets of solar energy and storage project development to help achieve the company's renewable energy goals and growth strategy in North America. You should possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor.

 

Everyday you will direct and manage both internal and external subject matter experts to ensure the successful completion of land acquisition, environmental assessments, local/state/federal permitting, interconnection, real estate, and design activities. Additionally, you will assist in activities related to M&A opportunities initiated by the team.

 

Facilitate strategic meetings with customers, landowners, and local/state/regional stakeholders to keep them informed throughout the development process. This includes attending community engagement events, conferences, and policy advocacy meetings Prepare and deliver presentations on project updates and solar market policies to customers, landowners, potential off-takers, government officials, and corporate supporters. Help create new tools and trackers to monitor development progress and manage data effectively. Mentor junior members of the Project Development team, assigning tasks as appropriate and providing assistance as needed

 

 

What You’ll Bring

A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Environmental Sciences, Sustainability, Engineering, or related fields

A minimum of five (5) years of project development experience, including managing projects at various stages of the development lifecycle Comfortable handling challenging commercial disagreements, maintaining professionalism with both internal and external stakeholders Motivated individual who can work independently within a large, matrixed organization while effectively collaborating with various cross-functional teams Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Projects, Word, PowerPoint; Salesforce

 

 

Additional Details

This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy Must be available to travel domestically 25% of the time and with the need for some overnight trips Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies 

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $96,100 – $147,660 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
