The Senior Project Engineer is responsible for the overall Fire/MNS designs and estimates in compliance with Company standards and contract requirements. They are primarily responsible for all design and estimate work for Fire and/or MNS Systems prior to acceptance by the customer and transfer of responsibility to a Project Manager. The Senior Project Engineer will consult with customers, vendors, and management to review project needs, create pre- and post-designs, and determine project time frames.
The Role
Designs fire, mass notification, area of refuge and BDA projects, reviews CAD drawings, reviews bid, and finalizes cut build outs for accuracy and completenessEvaluates required, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research; applies knowledge of the systems and their capabilities to meet Federal, State, and local regulations, code, and specificationsConfirms life safety system and components' capabilitiesCompletes projects by training and guiding System Engineers, Technicians, and/or Project Managers through the designMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; attending system certification coursesStays current with all applicable regulations, codes, and specificationsHas the ability to multi-task several projects while still ensuring accuracy, promptness, and efficiency;Authors and reviews estimatesWorks with peer groups to ensure collaborative partnerships by working together as it relates to the development, writing, and finalizing of competitive proposalsTravels to assigned job sites when necessary to ensure company compliance, proposal delivery and customer satisfaction; Conduct in-depth site surveys when applicableProvides status reports as required by the Engineering Department Manager or SupervisorEnsures that the Project Manager understands the technical solutions soldAssists Business Development in presenting technical, and integration solutions to the customerEnsures accurate utilization of Evergreens standardized tools and softwareMaintains and obtain certifications requiredTravels to Jobsites for experience, assess designs and provide assistance when necessary

Salary is $120,000 - $140,000 for well-qualified candidates.
