Job Description Faststream are currently working with a leading client in the energy sector who is looking for an experienced Senior Project Engineer with specialist skills in cable lay and offshore installation. This is an outstanding opportunity for a candidate with a strong background in offshore cable lay operations to join an innovative team and lead critical engineering projects in a highly dynamic environment.

The role involves offshore work (approximately 120 days per year) and requires regular collaboration with Offshore Installation Managers and other key stakeholders. This is a remote-based role, with the expectation of one day per month in-office for team meetings and project updates.

Responsibilities: 
Oversee end-to-end cable lay and installation projects, from initial planning stages through offshore execution, ensuring the highest standards of engineering quality, safety, and project performance. Develop comprehensive project plans, including detailed risk assessments, schedules, and cost estimations. Act as the main engineering liaison with Offshore Installation Managers, ensuring effective communication and coordination across all project phases. Provide expert technical guidance on cable lay activities, including cable route planning, protection methods, and installation techniques. Ensure that all operations adhere to industry standards, client specifications, and safety requirements. Prepare and review project documentation, including engineering procedures, risk assessments, method statements, and detailed project reports. Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.  Strong experience in cable-lay and offshore installation.  Understanding of how vessels work. Must have right to work in the UK.
