Job Title: Senior Project Engineer
Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer with extensive experience in land development, water and sewer projects, stormwater management, erosion control, parking lots, and road design. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and producing plans for a wide range of land development projects, including commercial sites, subdivisions, apartment buildings, and roads. Additionally, the candidate will have strong client relationship management skills and experience managing a team of junior engineers.

ResponsibilitiesMeet weekly with the Project Manager to understand priorities and deadlinesRecommend efficiencies in drafting production to the Project ManagerDesign grading, drainage and pond systems, water and sewer systems, pump stations, and erosion control measuresConduct road design and research local requirements, laws, and ordinances that affect the designDocument requirements from Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)Prepare engineering reports and coordinate with reviewersAdhere to drafting and design standardsReview work for compliance with standards before submitting to the Project ManagerOversee technical staff both in-house and outsourcedPerform other related duties as assignedEssential SkillsBachelor’s degree in EngineeringProfessional Engineer license with the capability of getting licensed in Georgia, Florida, and South Carolina10+ years of experience in engineering designExperience using AutoCAD (AutoCAD Civil 3D is a plus)Experience in land/site development design and permittingSelf-motivated and able to handle multiple projects simultaneouslyAdditional Skills & QualificationsClient relationship management skillsAbility to recommend efficiencies in drafting productionExcellent communication and team management skillsWork Environment

The candidate can be located in St. Simons, Savannah, or Charleston. Office hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
