Are you ready to lead groundbreaking projects in the aerospace industry? PDS Tech is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to drive the design and integration of highly complex avionic systems. In this critical role, you will own systems throughout their lifecycle, from initial development through product end-of-life. Your work will directly contribute to delivering innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers in the aerospace sector.
Role Overview:
As a Senior Project Engineer, You’ll be working across multiple disciplines, ensuring that technical and programmatic aspects of complex avionic systems are executed to the highest standards. This is your chance to take ownership of impactful projects while working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead technical execution for new product development for Embedded GPS/INS product line.

Collaborate with the Program Manager, Systems Engineer, and other IPT leads to track technical and programmatic status and resolve issues.

Manage Earned Value Management (EVM), including schedule, cost, and milestone development and tracking.

Develop and report key metrics to monitor project progress.

Proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities, ensuring timely course correction to meet program goals.

Develop customer proposals based on specific project requirements.

You Will Be Asked About:

Your experience with GPS/Inertial Navigation systems.

A situation when you had to communicate delays or budget overruns to a customer and the corrective action plan you implemented.

Your experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) on programs.

Your leadership experience in guiding Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) from inception to completion.

How you approach learning new concepts and tackling unfamiliar questions in a project setting.

YOU MUST HAVE:

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.

5+ years of experience in electronic systems design or project leadership.

Background in DO-178, DO-254, or similar safety-critical certification standards.

Pay Details: $66.00 to $70.00 per hour
