Pay Rate:

$90,000 - $125,000

Multiple factors, including Individual experience, skills and abilities will determine where an employee is ultimately placed in the pay range.

The Job You Will Perform:

PURPOSE

 

Develop the major capital requirements for meeting Mill/Project objectives. Lead and coordinate the design and construction activities for projects Coordinate the design, drawings and specifications that will meet process and facility objectives. Support and exemplify the mission, vision and principles of the Maysville Mill.

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

The key accountabilities listed below are not to be considered all-inclusive; a team member may be required to perform additional tasks, as directed, and based on changing business needs of the company.

 

Participate and lead in safety process improvements to ensure an injury free work site. Evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria for project assignments. Inspect and evaluate the condition of specific process equipment. Recommend procedures, alterations and modifications to extend the useful life and reliability of the assets. Utilize the PDP process to develop and implement assigned projects. Communicate analyses to mill personnel; i.e., mill management, technicians, etc. Provide sound project management for development, approval, planning and execution of a wide variety of projects from maintenance work orders to large capital projects. Responsible to maintain, update and revise the engineering files and drawings. May lead maintenance work teams on specific projects. Lead the effort in process equipment application and innovation and make recommendations for process improvement in day-to-day and long-term performance. As applicable, serves as a process owner for specific elements within the Maintenance and Engineering Team Utilizes maintenance and financial software system to perform job functions for work order processing, purchase requisitions, and project cost accounting. Lead cross-functional safety teams. Coaches safety in others and leads by example. Understands and meets internal and external customer requirements. Develops, maintains, and uses reliable methods for all processes and their improvements. Assists other team members in the mill as necessary to minimize downtime and maintain quality. Maintains and develops team relationships. Fulfill area specific 5S expectations (5 Minute 5S Checklists Replenishment of tools and supplies, 5S Audits,etc) PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING ENVIRONMENT Must be able to wear all required safety equipment. Noise levels in excess of 90 dB. Heat in excess of 100°F occasionally.

 

The Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge You Will Bring:

Minimum

Engineering experience in mill operations, capital projects, and/or related vendor manufacturing activates BS degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, mechanical engineering or equivalent experience 5-10 Years Experience

 

Preferred

 

Knowledge of the processes used in the paper industry, including equipment used in the process Knowledge of diversified technical processes and engineering principles/practices of related engineering activates Experience working in HPWS (High Performance Work System). Experience working in a quality focused environment Knowledge of and leadership in paper mill safety practices. Familiarity with CAD or similar software
