Pratt & Whitney is seeking a Senior Project Engineer for our Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) organization to support the development of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, tracking progress, resolving problems/developing solutions, and forecasting project revenue.

What You Will Do:

Coordinate with other functional organizations to identify and address project problems, analyze data gathered, and develop solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines, and optimize performance.Forecast project revenues, monitor costs, and re-estimate project costs monthly to maximize project profitability and ensure business targets are met.Act as Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) of multi-disciplinary employees on projects in technical manufacturing and administrative areas.Support military budget Earn Value Measurement System (EVMS) activities.Travel up to 10%.

What You Will Learn:

Navigate and execute the PW engineering change process.Lead multi-discipline Integrated Product Team.Construct and present concise technical presentations to our military customers.Design process for military Fan and High Compressor stator hardware.Become experienced in the Earned Value Measurement System.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field and 5 years of prior relevant experience; or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3 years of prior relevant experience. Related experience includes project engineering, structures engineering, design engineering, and manufacturing engineering.Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Agile, Jira, or Zenhub experience.Experience in Earned Value Management Systems.Skilled in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project).Government-issued security clearance.

Department/Segment Overview: Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) is responsible for the design, development, and in-service support of all fans low-pressure and high-pressure compressors for commercial and military engine models. CSE is responsible for the identification and maturation of new technologies for these products.

Technical disciplines in CSE include Project Engineering, Mechanical Design, Structural Analysis, and Product Definition.

Aftermarket and Sustainment Engineering executes both military and commercial repair design and repair substantiations for engines. We create and improve ASE business and repair development tools. We design, develop, and qualify military repair tooling.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite.  This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
