HDR is looking for a Senior Structures Project Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services Business Group in Walnut Creek or Folsom, CA office. This individual will be responsible for the structural design of facilities in support of a variety of markets including Technology, Water/Wastewater, Municipal, Industrial, Power, and Federal. They will be expected to coordinate and work closely with a multidiscipline design team throughout the entire life cycle of projects from planning stages, through the development of construction documents, and construction administration. They will be responsible for the development of construction drawings, specifications, and supporting engineering calculations, as well as the review of shop drawings during construction. Experience in structural design and detailing of building related projects is required. This individual should be self-motivated, collaborative and possess strong leadership skills with an initiative to deliver high quality, technically sound structural engineering designs

In the role of Senior Project Engineer (Structures), we'll count on you to:

Perform, plan, direct, and monitor all structural aspects of large multidiscipline projects or medium-sized projects with high degree of technical complexity, typically involving a large project staffProduce and coordinate several projects concurrentlyEstablish client relations and be involved with marketing, contractual, design and production meetingCoordinate staffing and workload of structural staff through entire project development to complete documents on scheduleConduct QA/QC on the work of other Structures Project Engineers and structural CAD/BIM Specialists as needed.Conduct schematic, design development and contract document work sessions in conjunction with other Project Managers, appropriate technical professionals and other disciplinesMaintain outward facing exposure, promoting the HDR brand in the industry through networking and participation in Professional organizationsPerform other duties as neededPreferred QualificationsBS Degree in Civil Engineering or related Engineering discipline. Highly preferred: MS or MSCE Degree in Structural Engineering California Professional engineer license or ability to obtain within 12 monthsExperience leading teams delivering structural design projects requiredStrong knowledge of structural modeling software such as SAP or other 3D analysis and finite element modeling softwareExperience with Microsoft Office applications, MicroStation, InRoads and other civil engineering software as appropriateExperience with condition assessment, structural evaluations, and seismic retrofitLocal candidates are preferred.

The expected compensation range for this position is $123,508 to $200,500 annually and depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
