What is the opportunity?
The incumbent is part of a team that will facilitate key Corporate Treasury Initiatives. The key projects include Interest Rate, Liquidity Risk, and Funds Transfer Pricing measurement processes, with focus on retail and commercial banking book portfolios. It is a critical part of a larger integrated Corporate Treasury area responsible for interest rate risk methodologies and measurement, funds transfer pricing, and the associated infrastructure, which together enable a holistic view of the balance sheet and enhance RBC’s understanding of product pricing and the relationship between profitability, funding, and interest rates.
What will you do?
Plan and facilitate meetings with key stakeholders. The position will initially focus on Funds Transfer Pricing Initiatives, which include stakeholders from the US CUSO team, UK Treasury team and Enterprise Corporate Treasury team.Develop plans/roadmaps; and participate in any other project related activities as required.Raises, assesses, and tracks issues, risk, assumptions, and decisions; resolves & tracks project conflicts, issues, assumptions, decisions, etc.; escalates any issues to immediate manager when required.Sets up appropriate governance and oversight. Manages project documentation as required, communications, repositories and status reports and minutes to stakeholders, vendors, and project teams. Provides superior client experience and strengthens relationships with all key stakeholders.Contribute to the pipeline of continuous improvement of Project Management processes and procedures through application best practices for harvesting and sharing Lessons LearnedScheduling and organizing project meetings; participating in project tracking, analysis, and reporting.Provide expertise, direction, coaching and development to build the team capability.What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
8+ years’ progressive project management experience. Demonstrated leadership ability in similar large-scale finance / risk / regulatory programs within the financial sector. Advanced project management knowledge including plan development; scheduling methodology; project metrics gathering, analyzing, and reporting; risk and issue assessment and quantification methodologies; cost/benefit analysis and alternatives identification; budgeting, financials and benefits analysis, documentation, and management. Experience leading large cross-enterprise projects with high level of value (benefit/cost), complexity and uncertainty. Experience organizing and facilitating workshopsStrategic and critical thinking skillsStrong stakeholder management experienceStrong communication skillsSolid experience dealing with change (ability to build a change management plan and ensure execution of that plan)Experience with iterative waterfall and agile delivery methodologiesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Project, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint), Jira & Confluence, PlanviewWell organized, detailed oriented and has the ability to work with the team to meet deadlines in a dynamic environmentNice to Have
Experience in analyzing and documenting business flows and processesPMP and/or PGMP certification (preferred)Undergraduate degree – preferably in Business/EngineeringCorporate Treasury experienceJob Skills
