Role Description
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing highly visible strategic projects that deliver meaningful transformation of systems and processes across the Finance department, including Record-to-Report, Order-to-Cash, Procure-to-Pay, and Treasury operations. The environment is highly dynamic and demands exceptional leadership and proven technical project management skills. The norm is multiple simultaneous initiatives throughout the year with frequent shifts in priorities driven by the office of the CEO, CFO and CAO.
This full-time in-office position is in Washington, DC and reports to the Senior Director, Finance Business Process. The successful candidate will work closely with the Financial Business Systems team, leaders of cross-functional Finance teams, and various corporate IT and development teams that are in Washington DC, Richmond, and London. Occasional travel to Richmond may be required.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain meticulous project scope, plans, schedules, action trackers, risk and issue logs, progress reports, change management, post-delivery performance evaluation, and other project management documentation for multiple simultaneous projects with varying degrees of complexityContribute to the development and enhancement of internal project management capabilitiesPrepare presentation materials, schedule, and lead efficient project status calls with project team members as well as routine meetings with executive sponsorsLimit project activities to defined scope and appropriately identify and escalate risksDevelop a strong understanding of CoStar Group’s finance systems stack and business processesLead and motivate project team to deliver excellenceBasic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, information systems, or a related field from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college8+ years of experience as a project manager on accounting and/or information systems finance transformation projectsA track record of commitment to prior employers3+ years of management experience within a corporate environment.Experience working in a large public SOX-compliant company, preferably with global operationsOrganized and self-motivated with limited direct supervisionExemplary skills in verbal and written communication exhibiting transparent and effective communication between all parties involved in the projectExemplary skills in working well with othersResults-driven and ability to work in a demanding fast paced environment with shifting prioritiesWorking knowledge of JIRA and MS Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, and OneDrivePreferred Qualifications:
