Your work environment at EXP

In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  We seek a team player who desires a highly collaborative work environment, has excellent client and communication skills, and strong design capabilities. We seek a candidate with expertise on Florida's Department of Transportation (FDOT) roadway projects. 

 

 What a day at EXP has in store for you

Knowledge of FDOT design standards, specifications, Basis of Estimates and Designer Interface. Planning, organizing, and supervising the work of other transportation professionals Lead roadway plans preparation and development efforts as the engineer of record Direct roadway design engineering projects including signalization and signing and pavement markings Ability to work in ORD and 3D Engineering Modeling software Experience in the development of FDOT technical documents (e.g., Typical Section Package, Pavement Design Package, Design Variations/Exceptions) Understanding of FDOT’s QC compliance criteria Understanding of FDOT’s EQR  Experience developing, negotiating, and managing scopes, schedules, and budgets Experience with the SMART PLAN in Miami-Dade County Experience with FDOT D5, D4 and D7 design work

 

 What your experience looks like

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil Engineering Professional Engineer (P.E.) licensed in the State of Florida and Georgia preferred Minimum 15 years related experience
