Job Description

AECOM has an excellent career opportunity for a creative, highly talented Project Manager for immediate employment in our Virginia Beach, VA location.

The selected individual will assist in the development of task order proposals; support the management team in tracking task budgets, monitor activity schedules, and implement product quality standards; and otherwise support the Project and Program Managers. The Project Manager will assist in the management of technical and administrative staff on a wide variety of complex projects worldwide.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

This position will manage and lead federal projects and programs, for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC), the U.S. Air Force, or other Federal AgenciesEnsure project completion within budget, schedule, and in conformance with specificationsReview contracts and sub-contracts and assist  management of subcontractorsMonitor project financials and report to the Project ManagerDevelop and maintain design schedules for approvalManage and direct professional and technical staff to complete complex architectural and engineering projectsResolv field-initiated questions with the technical design teamCoordinate and direct activities among the design groupsParticipate and attend design review meetings recording meeting minutes and tracking action itemsCoordinate the development of project deliverables with the design teamParticipate in building and maintaining a positive client relationship

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements :

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture plus six (6) years of relevant  industry experience, (4 years as a Project Manager), or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education;Due to the nature of this work, U.S. citizenship is requiredRegistered Architect, Professional Engineer (PE) license, or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) is required for this positionProfessional experience developing design reports, drawings, and specificationsProfessional experience in managing subcontractorsProfessional experience in services during construction, including answering RFI’s and reviewing submittals

Preferred Qualifications :

Experienced with DoD projectsSecurity Clearance (or ability to obtain) preferredProject Management Professional (PMP), or related licensure/registration (or ability to obtain with one year)8 years of Project Management experience in architecture, engineering, or the field of construction managementBasic familiarity with AutoCAD, BIM a plusHighly motivated self-starter with solid writing and verbal communication skillsProficient in MS Suite, SharePoint (or similar collaboration tools) and remote communications applications such as Teams, Zoom, etc.
