**Job Description Summary** The Senior Project Manager (or Project Director) is responsible for managing the GEV Steam Power projects involving new-build close-out and Services projects, leading large project teams in a matrix origination, driving projects execution until completion towards Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Compliance target, whilst optimizing the margin and cash flow for the company, and improve customer satisfaction. **Job Description** **Roles and Responsibilities** + Ensure the execution of the Project safely, to the right quality, within schedule and within budget. + Ensure successful close out of projects including finalizing deliverables and conducting post project evaluations. + Implementation of the Project Execution Strategy, for the scope of work allocated, to deliver the project within the contract specification, programme, budget and cash targets. + Management of the project team for the scope of work allocated. + Co-ordination of all activities for the allocated scope including engineering, procurement & logistics, erection and commissioning. + Resolution of claims and concessions to/from customers, , contractors and sub-suppliers for the allocated scope of work. + Management of risks and opportunities, associated to the allocated scope of work, by the implementation of appropriate action plans with the aim of improving the project margin. + Development and evolution of the overall project schedule (plan), for the allocated scope of work, updating of the schedule to reflect progress and using the schedule to optimise work and resolve problems. + Application of project specific procedures, work instructions Project Quality Plans, + Environmental and Health and Safety plans. Application of the Steam Power Project management system to the Project. + Developing and management of the relationship with the customer, ensuring communication is clear and addressing issues effectively. + Ensure adequate reporting of project progress (including financial) with clear identification of key issues which impact, or may influence, the project success. + Closely coordinate with the GEV CSI projects representative and compliance team to ensure proper execution of the work. + Work synergistically with the project site manager in term of execution, manpower management and resource planning. + Manage stakeholder expectations **Required Qualifications** + Degree in Engineering and or Business Management + 10 years’ experience in the Project Environment,+5 years on project leadership role of high complex, large scale projects. + Solid experience in Contract management, and customer handling skills + Familiarity with FIDIC and NEC contracts + Strong financial acumen and budget management **Desired Characteristics** + Experience in Coal Power industry. + Proficiency in Project management tools + Operation & Maintenance project experiences is a strong advantage. + Familiarity with T&M contract setup + Leadership experience of large power plant site + Excellent communication skills + Innovative and Strategic thinking to resolve critical issues and and secure potential opportunities. + Strong team leader, coach and motivator **_GE Vernova is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
