DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and overseeing the health of multiple supply chains across various commodities, leveraging technical expertise and a deep understanding of industry trends to proactively identify and mitigate risks.We are seeking a technically savvy and competent individual, preferably with a degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, who has a proven track record in supply chain development and can adeptly adapt to changing market conditions.This role requires a strategic thinker who can collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure supply chain resilience, optimize operations, and contribute to sustained organizational growth.With limited direction, this position exercises considerable latitude in identifying, evaluating, developing and administering supplier activities, projects, programs and/or performance.Participates in the development of policies and procedures and monitors supplier activities and performance metrics to ensure Company processes, procedures and standards are in compliance.Performs site visit of suppliers to evaluate logistical and performance capabilities. This will require moderate travel on a regular basis.Represents the organization as the primary contact with internal business groups and external suppliers. Ability to interface effectively with all levels of internal customers and be able to communicate well with the highest positions at all of our strategic suppliers.Primary contact and maintains professional relationship with internal business groups and external suppliersProvides direction and training to professional, technical or staff and makes presentations as required. Will respond to supplier visit requests (to GA) and, if appropriate, set up internal meetings with the cognizant GA people invitedWill set up and facilitate purchased material status meetings, keeping action items and monitoring results. Regularly monitor supplier metrics to assess quality and delivery performance and apply continuous improvement plans.Compiles and analyzes data, determines expectations and evaluates supplier performance. Develops appropriate electronic and hard copy reports, records and metrics.Becomes familiar with supplier processes; and develops and evaluates opportunities to improve, enhance or expand relationships.Identifies, develops and selects qualified suppliers; evaluates reliability; and resolves supplier related and project related business and technical issues.Recommends changes/updates in policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Company processes, procedures and standards and applicable regulations.Provides direction and training to professional, technical or staff on supplier related matters and makes presentations as required.Maintains the strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.We recognize and appreciate the value and contributions of individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences and welcome all qualified individuals to apply.
