JOB SUMMARY The selected candidate would lead and manage scope, schedule, and budget for the field deployment of 5G wireless radios as part of a private 5G network deployment in Southern California. CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification SHIFT Full Time, Day Shift, Immediate Start, 5-7 year project duration PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES + Review and refinement of the deployment plan for 50,000 radios across 15 counties + Coordination with a large cross functional team of stakeholders and departments to align schedules and resources + Daily decision making on deployment priorities and readiness of target implementation locations + Active management of all logistics involved (equipment ordering, warehousing, delivery to target locations, etc.) + Managing and providing direction and guidance to a diverse team of field engineers and telecom technicians + Managing and continually enhancing the pre-deployment processes and required configuration tasks for each radio prior to installation + Ensuring a continuous pipeline of pre-configured and "ready to go" radios for deployment + Working closely with senior management and stakeholders on the formulation of the annual deployment plans (7 years) + Serve as the focal point of coordination for developing engineering standards and lab/field testing as required + Attending and managing a variety of daily meetings + Providing daily/weekly/monthly progress reports and dashboards with all key metrics + Managing a detailed comprehensive MS project plan with all critical path, milestones, dependencies, and resource plans details clearly defined and actively managed + Manage the risk register and RAID log MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE + Must reside locally in the Los Angeles, California/Orange County area + Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering related field is required. + Project Management Professional (PMP) certification + 10 years of direct hands-on project/program management of large initiatives in an IT/Telecom/Engineering related field + Expert/advanced user level for MS office suite including MS Project and MS Visio + Excellent written and oral communications skills + Ability to lead by example and be a team player + Professional, courteous, respectful, and operate within a culture of safety first + Extreme attention to detail PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE + Prior experience with LTE/5G technology projects + Domain knowledge and understanding of Telecom/networking technologies The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
