Arcadis is seeking a talented Project Manager, Transportation Engineering for our growing London office. We are looking for a team lead with a background in road, transit, and linear infrastructure in Ontario. Experience in some or all of preliminary and detail design, water and sewer design, transportation planning, traffic management, and traffic engineering would be an asset.
This role will entail the utilization of skills in leadership, business development and client interaction. As a Project Manager you will be asked to assist in growing and maintaining the business. Role Accountabilities:
Project Manager or Deputy Project Manager on transportation and municipal infrastructure projects such as preliminary design, detail design, tender preparation, and construction supportTransportation Engineering task lead for large- and small-scale projectsReview of preliminary and detailed design drawings, reviewing and supporting report-writing (e.g. design memos, functional servicing reports, etc.), proposal writingManage staff productivity and utilizationCoordinating with Project Engineer and Project DirectorMentor staff and project teamsSupervise staff and participate directly in the completion of projectsFoster a spirit of enthusiasm and client focusLead and direct business development activities in the London Area and across OntarioProject coordination between other design disciplines, management of project schedule and budgetClient liaisonQualifications
Bachelor’s University Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university or Civil Engineering Technology degree with CET designation5+ years of Project Management experience in municipal or transportation engineeringP.Eng. (Eligible for Membership with PEO) an assetExperience with MTO, City of London, Region of Waterloo, or other Ontario municipality are an assetExperience with preliminary and detailed design of arterial/municipal roads and linear infrastructure (alignments, geometrics, staging, traffic management, roadside safety, external drainage areas, sewer design)Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, OpenRoads and Civil3D an asset Understanding of traffic engineering principlesFamiliar with construction inspection and preparation of reportsAbility to work independently as well as in groups with a demonstrated ability to manage projects, project teams, and clientsExcellent technical verbal and written communication skills are expectedHighly motivated and enthusiastic with a strong desire to succeedExcellent analytical and decision-making skills, with commitment to excellence and high quality workStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Microsoft ProjectAdditional Information
