Project Operations Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesIn this role, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium-size and/or complex to large projects. Each day, you will ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with procedures, regulations, standards, specifications, and targets. You will also showcase your expertise by supporting the oversight of team development and process improvement to continually increase the effectiveness of project execution, especially in smaller units.The work model for the role is: #LI - HybridThis role is contributing to the Robotics & Discrete Automation Robotics division in Auburn Hills, MI. Main stakeholders are both our internal and external customers.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tLeading the project team, establishing the project execution approach, and overseeing project hand-over, execution planning, monitoring and control activities for internal and external resources to accomplish all project goals.•\tProviding leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification.•\tSupporting local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders.•\tDriving the formal acceptance of the project, contract close-out, and acknowledgment by the customer, all in accordance with the contract.
Qualifications for the roleBachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a combination of 15+ years of experience in Engineering and Project Management.Strong experience in Project Management desired.ABB Senior PM Certification required for internal ABB candidates.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
