Senior Project Manager

Overview

Responsible for analysing and evaluating customer pipeline inspection needs, provide technical support, liaising between customer and quotation engineer, coordinate projects from initial stage to final completion to ensure maximum customer satisfaction and that T.D. Williamson (TDW) performance levels are met according to contractual terms and budgetary requirements.

Work cross-functionally to establish a regional project delivery strategy incorporating deliverables from multiple functional areas, including sales, application engineering, UK operational support, information technology, supply chain, and third-party support functions.

 

Key Responsibilities

Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:

Laise between customers and TDW internal sales functions and application engineering, establishing a bid strategy and assisting the sales engineer to develop the proposal.

Maintain CRM system by inputting opportunity and tasks required to be acted upon by the internal sales team.

Establish a regional pricing strategy that aligns with the promoted technology, and market/competition pricing.

Review contracts, liaising with TDW legal counsel and sales manager to ensure contractual compliance.

Deliver pipeline inspection projects from kick off stage to close out reporting. Coordinating with TDW UK operations and analysis teams, ensuring field operation and reporting deliverables are met.

Identify and coordinate resources (people and equipment) and assign individual responsibilities within the project team, including vendors, sub-contractors and field personnel, engineering etc.

Control project costs, invoicing, forecast visibility, and work with accounts receivable to ensure timely payment.

Establish strong customer relationships, gaining visibility of future customer needs and market trends, attending worksites, customer office meetings, trade shows and conferences as required.

Maintain routine communication with TDW UK head office. Providing an overview of live and planned projects, issues and required support.

Collaborate with others on best practices including operational excellence, project management practices, business development, behaviour, organization, communication, safety, TDW compliance and extreme customer commitment; drive one TDW culture.

 

Experience

Bachelor’s degree in business or engineering, or equivalent work experience. Ten plus (10+) years of project management experience within the engineering sector.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Recognised Health and Safety certification, such as NEBOSH, preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Advanced knowledge of pipeline operations.

Ability to identify risks and required control measures associated with inline inspection works.

Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.

Knowledge of lean and six sigma tools, thinking, and techniques including experience with problem-solving techniques and statistical analysis.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills.

Excellent organizational skills including the ability to work in a team on fast moving projects.

Excellent sales and interpersonal skills.

Excellent commercial and interpersonal skills.

Ability to exercise sound judgement in guiding technical decisions.

Ability to speak English required.
