Overview TRC is seeking a Project Manager for Strategic Client Development to be a subject matter expert (SME) for our municipal and solid waste clients in North Carolina, Virginia and the surrounding states. The ideal candidate will be assertive, personable, and a self-starter with the capacity to manage multiple tasks working under the guidance of the Director and the management team. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively and coordinate with internal team members and external customers. They will understand clients and project needs and have the technical and management acumen to remove barriers and drive the teams toward solutions as needed. They must be detail‐oriented, organized, have strong communication and customer service skills, and the capacity to handle multiple urgent priorities. Program support will include communication, business/marketing strategy development, solution development, opportunity identification, project management, and more. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of the solid waste and municipal government landscape and relationships to help push forth program goals. A hands-on approach combined with program management knowledge is desired to lead/assist the team to achieve their goals. Responsibilities Assist with identifying opportunities to engage in billable work with existing and new client base. Assist with technical input and project management for existing projects and clients. Assist with development and mentoring of younger/lesser experienced staff. Client relationship management from pre-positioning, contract award, project design and construction, implementation hand-off, and periodic program enhancements. Assist the TRC Infrastructure Team and Solid Waste Team with the development and implementation of marketing strategies to increase brand awareness and market share. Conduct market research to identify potential clients and opportunities. Create an engagement plan to visit and form relationships with key individuals associated with the target opportunities/clients. Manage the identified opportunities and allocate resources effectively. Lead and/or assist with creation of Proposals and Statement of Qualifications. Complete appropriate reporting to track opportunities in the designated TRC format (Salesforce or other). Issue reports to the key management group of important contacts, marketing calls, and identified opportunities on a monthly basis or other agreed upon frequency. Assist the Infrastructure Team and Solid Waste Team with creation, update, and execution of a strategic growth plan. Engage and participate in applicable professional societies, organizations, and other industry events to promote brand awareness and market share. Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition.
