**Position Specific Description**
The Senior Project Manager, Legal Specialist, will work as a legal project manager (“LPM”) in the Law Department focusing on improving work processes, deploying innovative technologies, and helping attorneys practice at the top of their license. The LPM will work with attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants on in-house litigation, transactional, and regulatory legal teams.
Position Specific Qualifications:
• BA/BS degree in legal studies or related field, Masters in legal studies or related field, or JD
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a legal professional, paralegal, or attorney
• Prior experience as a practicing attorney or legal project manager preferred but not required.
• Strong understanding of legal processes and technologies
• Strong communication (written and oral), management, teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Proven experience in project management, preferably within a legal environment
• Experience with CLM (contract lifecycle management) software preferred but not required
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the attorneys and paralegals to identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices.
• Evaluate and deploy technologies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of legal work.
• Develop, implement, and manage project plans, timelines, and strategies with the Legal Operations leader to ensure timely and successful completion.
• Collaborate with the IT team to evaluate, implement, and improve legal technology
• Help train in-house legal teams on how to leverage technologies to advance their work
• Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies.

**Job Duties & Responsibilities**
+ Plans, coordinates and completes large-scale or several medium or small, complex or long term project(s) within budgetary and scheduling guidelines
+ Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
+ Secures required resources and uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks and changes
+ Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
+ Identifies issues and challenges, measures and validates results, and implements solutions
+ Provides information to internal and external clients on moderate to complex issues
+ Creates and communicates presentation materials for report out and updates with various levels of internal and external stakeholders
+ Conducts external research and stays abreast of new developments or innovative advancements pertaining to the project
+ Provides coaching, leadership and direction to project team
+ Performs other job-related duties as assigned
**Required Qualifications**
+ High School Grad / GED
+ Bachelor's or Equivalent Experience
+ Experience: 4+ years
**Preferred Qualifications**
+ Master's Degree
+ Project Management Professional (PMP)
