Overview
Compassion International is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager for the Operational Excellence Team to plan, monitor and manage internal marketing and fundraising projects from initiation through completion. This includes using effective practices, processes, and tools to manage project team resources, budgets, timelines, risks/issues, and changes. This person actively builds relationships within the group and across functional lines. They often coach other project managers and related staff, building up the overall Project Management capability within the ministry.
What will you do?
Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Be a consistent witness for Jesus Christ, maintaining a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of Compassion, and faithfully uphold Compassion’s ministry in prayer. Act as an advocate for children. Understand and advance Christ's mandate to protect children. Take active steps to help protect against neglect, abuse, and exploitation of children.Uphold and engage in Compassion’s core Cultural Behaviors. Use discretion and judgement to lead project planning, resourcing, staffing, supply and subcontract management on extensive, multi-phase projects. Use structured project governance systems for monitoring and tracking deliverables and resolving complex issues, ensuring delivery of major projects to the plan and budget.Apply high level professional project management skills to plan, monitor and manage major, complex projects with a high number of extremely skilled experts, from initiation through completion. This includes developing assignments, timetables and responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project.Ensure critical progress reporting, troubleshooting and people management. This generally includes, recruiting or screening, organizing, motivating, and directing team members, and ensuring that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time.Monitor performance and recommend schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions.Ensure project results meet the highest requirements regarding technical quality, reliability, schedule and cost.Coach and provide expertise, may oversee the work of other professionals and support staff in the project management discipline.What do you bring?
Bachelors degree in business or related field, concentration in project management a plus 10+ years of relevant experience in this or related field requiredPMP requiredExperience using Smartsheet for project/program/portfolio management requiredMarketing/Fundraising organization experience preferredExperience with Lean Six Sigma preferredPrior Compassion experience preferredAbility to travel domestically and/or internationally up to 10% of normal schedule. (Please note: Travel requirement is project-dependent and subject to change.)
