Location: Holy Cross Health operates two hospitals and four healthcare centers, all within a short driving distance from Washington, DC, and Baltimore, MD.
Reporting to: Regional Director, Capital Construction Services
Role Overview:
Provides oversight and support of the workflow and functions in accordance with level of experience, education & standards. Assumes an expanded role and increased responsibility including delegating to others. Responsible for managing projects that involve facilities planning, architectural / engineering design, and construction, by working with Regional / Ministry leaders and planners in the development of annual planning designs and budgets in respective acute, ambulatory, administrative, and continuing care services facilities.

Essential Functions: Manages all aspects of project design, capital budgeting, contracting, negotiating, bidding, construction managers, safety and coordinating of IT and medical equipment on projects. Project types and roles include: Major Capital Projects, Local Capital Projects and OpEx Repair and Upgrade Projects. Manages projects with complete financial responsibility. Participates in the development and improvement of processes and procedures. Works closely with leadership to maintain efficient and effective operations to ensure quality in daily operations. May partner with leadership in the selection, orientation, and performance feedback of the team. Works cooperatively to ensure that key customer needs are being met and achievement of operational and performance goals.
Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, state & local laws/regulations, Trinity Health Integrity & Compliance Program & Code of Conduct, as well as other policies, procedures & guidelines to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical & professional behavior & safe work practices.
Work Focus: Coordinates operational, technical and/or clerical support services that enhance or improve coordination, preparation & flow of the department process and core work. Plans & organizes workflows and prioritizes customers’ needs. May lead a small team; serves as a mentor. Creates & maintains procedural standards & records as appropriate for role. Develops & maintains educational programs for the team members, including new employee orientation.
Process Focus: Utilizes multiple system applications for data collection & management. Incorporates basic knowledge of TH policies, practices & processes to ensure quality, confidentiality & safety are prioritized. Demonstrates knowledge of departmental processes & procedures & ability to readily acquire new knowledge. Collaborate on performance improvement activities as indicated by outcomes in program efficiency & patient experience. Helps to identify opportunities, develop solutions & lead the team through resolution.
Minimum Education / Accreditation / Licensure:
Bachelor of Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management required. Years of experience will be considered.Preferred: PMP Certification, ASHE Certified Healthcare Contractor, or comparableExperience Required:
Min 8 years’ experience in construction project management.Ability to read and interpret construction documents and specifications, familiar with building codes.Minimum drafting and CAD (computer aided drafting) skills.Experience with capital project management software (i.e., ProCore, Projecto, eBuilder, etc.) technologies.Understanding of financial and operational management and analysis of technical estimating and budgeting tools for construction. Demonstrates leadership ability to build teams and collaboratively arrive at solutions to complex issues.Demonstrates ability to successfully manage projects, to deliver, on-time and within budget, the quality and scope of the parameters set forth in programming.Strong work knowledge of ICRA and ILSM standards, building codes, NFPA, FGI Guidelines and OHSA requirements.Excellent leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication (verbal, written and interpersonal), and computer (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills with a continuous improvement mindset.Ability to be a self-starter and independent worker able to manage multiple conflicting priorities and demands.Ability to delegate responsibilities effectively and provide regular follow up to ensure objectives is met.Strong Construction Contract knowledge and ability to review, negotiate and manage risk.Ability to manage multiple projects throughout Service Area, covering multiple states including but not limited to Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland (primary region)Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Healthcare ConstructorAbility to manage large scale or multiple projects across Service Areas supporting Trinity Health organizations throughout the country.Experience overseeing a team/multiple project managers covering a wide range of projects.Pay Range:
$49.83- $74.74
Pay is based on experience, skills and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
