As a  Senior Project Manager with a focus on Public Sector and Commercial construction Markets you will be required to manage and take ownership of all aspects of a given project, proactively engaging with the client, construction, and design team to drive the project forward.

You will be required to prepare succinct and accurate reports that look forward and identify clear actions and recommendations.  

When managing a contract, you will be required to positively engage with the construction and design team and work collaboratively to address risks and avoid claims and disputes whilst maintaining meticulous records to allow you to quickly respond to issues arising and form an informed and balanced opinion having due regard to the building contract.

You will also be involved in the development of less experienced team members supporting them in becoming professionally qualified.

Development and delivery of business casesClient-side project management, including stakeholder, schedule, and contract managementOwnership of and responsibility for the successful delivery of your projectPreparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resourcesIdentifying and monitoring project risks and opportunitiesQuality management processes for project activities and outputsManaging stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interestsEstablishing and maintaining project governance reviewsDeveloping and managing teamsManaging suppliersEnsure commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on timeStrong relationships are developed with clients and members of the cross-functional teamBusiness development opportunities with existing and new clients, including cross- selling opportunities, are identified, and acted uponProvide leadership within project management business and provide leadership and mentoring to the teamManage the delivery of project management team outputs, in accordance with agreed timescales and quality standardsCo-ordination and sign off on all management information produced by project management teams prior to issueTo ‘win’ clients through strong business development skills

Experience

Highly motivated, able to work independently, whilst being commercially diligent and with an eye for detailExperience in NEC/JCT contract administrationHave the ability and experience in setting up and implementing robust Project Management processesDemonstrate financial acumen relating to viability and cash flows Able to produce formal reports and documents which clearly set out complex issues and recommendations

Qualifications

Professional Qualification – ideally Project Management/ Construction/Engineering/Quantity Surveying Bachelors DegreeChartered Status with the RICS, CIOB, RIBA, ICE or other equivalent institution APM affiliation (as secondary accreditation)
