Kimley-Horn has an opportunity for a motivated Senior Project Manager, Forensic/Structural Engineer, S.I., P.E., to expand our Forensic/Structures practice in West Palm Beach, Florida!

Responsibilities This position will support the growth of the firm in our forensics and structures practicesDevelop and maintain good relationships with coworkers, industry peers, and clientsPerform and review structural design calculations, prepare project document submittal packages, and maintain Quality Control for the entire projectConduct site investigations and structural evaluations while documentmenting field observations and preparing technical reportsSupport and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, owners, contractors, and design team membersContribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clientsLeadership responsibilities include:Operating with integrity and sound business principalsProviding vision, business planning and strategyEstablishing goalsBuilding and maintaining positive client relationshipsHaving open communication with your partners and teamGrowing and leading a structural practiceOur Project Managers/Practice Builders manage their projects profitably, transition work to qualified staff, grow and mentor staff, and act as a positive leader and mentorThe successful candidate will be given a great deal of autonomy to lead, direct, and grow their businessWith success, this individual will enjoy the rewards of an impressive bonus program with the potential to advance to ownership Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (MS preferred) from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil/Structural EngineeringRegistered Florida Professional Engineer (P.E.) licenseS.I. (Special Inspector) License, performing structural field inspections on Threshold Buildings.15 years+ of experience in Forensics or Structures with at least 5 years’ experience directly managing projects in Florida.  Proven track record of successfully winning and delivering work in West Palm Beach and the surrounding region.Have verifiable experience in performing structural field inspections on threshold buildings.Client contacts and relationships with local municipalities, area counties, and state agencies.Business development skills and the proven ability to win work.History of providing technical design and planning on a variety of structuresKnowledge in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup with some ability to produce drawings and details, when neededKnowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other structural related design softwareExcellent communication, leadership, and technical skillsStrong desire and ability to be engaged with clients solving project problemsAbility to effectively communicate positively at all levels of the organizationAbility to manage and mentor staff and direct resources effectively in a positive mannerDemonstrated ability to manage projects profitablyExperience writing proposals, scopes of work, and budgets for projected work Why Kimley-Horn?
