Senior Project Manager - Major Corrective Exchange & Turbine Services
Overview Responsible for providing highly visible operational leadership to develop a strong organizational culture ensuring that the assigned business line(s) are operating to the highest possible standards in safety, quality, and operational excellence, enabling the delivery of a growing, profitable, and sustainable business. Location & Travel: This position is eligible for remote work and requires up to 50% travel Company Overview MasTec Renewables group is part of the MasTec Clean Energy & Infrastructure business segment. MasTec’s Clean Energy and Infrastructure Group (CE&I) is a $4 billion annual revenue business unit that provides construction services for industrial facilities; building products manufacturers, power generation facilities, manufacturing plants; solar, wind, and thermal energy plants; buildings, and infrastructure. Responsibilities Drive continuous business improvement and performance Track and communicate job profit and loss performance to business leadership Identify areas needing improvement to drive financial and cultural performance and action as necessary Work across business functions to ensure the business is ready to execute with the appropriate labor Ensure Lesson Learned reviews happen to build organizational learning Visit job sites on a regular basis (every four to six weeks) to ensure standards and culture are being met in the field Identify and implement cost reduction strategies to drive margin improvement throughout the business line Own the forecasted revenue and profitability of the business line Review bids for their entirety and to fully understand the Scope of Work sold Work with the Commercial Team as necessary to ensure bids are completed using correct cost related information Serve as the business line representative for any safety related or operational related issues to clients Ensure all change orders related to business line have been reviewed and are compliant with contractual expectations Identify, research and resolve all contract disputes with the Owner Discuss with Safety Director and Project Manager on any jobsite safety issues Create and maintain a strong organizational culture dedicated to safety, quality, and operational excellence Create and implement standards, procedures, and processes to support the culture and business growth Own the profit and loss and successful execution of all elements of the service line Develop and track performance through various Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Proactively seek to grow the business by liaising with Customers and proactively support the Business Development and Commercial Teams Qualifications Education and Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum of seven years of Renewable Services Industry Experience/knowledge of estimating and project management Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Take reasonable care of your own and others’ health and safety and of those who may be affected by the day-to-day delivery of this role by taking personal responsibility for working toward the Company’s Zero Injury principles Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Primavera, and Construction Software Read, analyze and interpret blueprints, professional journals, technical procedures, contracts or governmental regulations Write reports, business correspondence, and document project activities Effectively present information and respond to questions from project managers, superintendents, clients, customers and the general public Effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in standardized situations Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form Working Environment: When visiting jobsites the work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions This work environment may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors and/or loud noises What's in it for you: Financial Wellbeing Compensation $133,435 - $180,000 / year, commensurate with experience Competitive pay with ongoing performance review and merit increase 401(k) with company match & Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Flexible spending account (Healthcare & Dependent care) Health & Wellness Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance (plan choice) - coverage for spouse, domestic partner, and children Diabetes Management, Telehealth Coverage, Prescription Drug Plan, Pet Insurance Family & Lifestyle Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays, Bereavement Leave Military Leave, including Differential Pay and Benefits Continuation Employee Assistance Program Planning for the Unexpected Short and long-term disability, life insurance, and accidental death & dismemberment Voluntary life insurance, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity coverage Emergency Travel Assistance Program Group legal plan Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
