Senior Project Manager - Restoration/Rehabilitation (Hybrid)
The Building Science Solutions (BSS) team within Intertek’s Building and Construction group is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to join the Hillside, Illinois office.
The ideal candidate for this Senior Project Manager position will have a background and interest in building enclosure consulting for existing and new building structures. They should also have an interest in leading project teams, developing a client base locally and/or nationally, molding the local BSS team, and contributing technically to our overall, international, BSS team.

Position Requirements and Qualifications
BS in architecture, engineering, or other related degree, required 8+ years’ experience in enclosure consulting with minimum 5+ years' of which involve managing restoration and rehabilitation building enclosure consulting in Illinois, required Experience in other states is a plus Professional license in architecture and/or structural engineering in Illinois, required Additional architecture license in other states and P.E. licenses in Illinois are preferred General Contractors license and/or safety certifications, and scaffold certification also preferred Strong background with technical skills/independent judgment related to residential/commercial construction processes, practices, codes, standards, and materials Familiarity with ASTM and AAMA testing of exterior enclosure systems and assemblies for air and water infiltration and mock up testing is a plus Providing expert witness consulting and testimony in depositions, trials, arbitrations, mediations, etc., including preparation of demonstrative exhibits as needed to clearly convey complex ideas to a lay audience is a plus Must be able to demonstrate solid organization and communication skills, both in written and verbal forms Strong computer and technology skills are required, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD, required Revit/BIM/Sketch-up competencies are pluses Must be able to maintain attention to detail and adaptability in a fast-paced environment working alone, as well as with teams Physical condition must permit carrying up to 50 pounds, bending, crouching, and ladder access to roof levels – Experience on scaffolding, aerial booms, confined spaces, etc. are pluses Experience with managing staff, both technical and administrative, required Consistent and professional interaction and communication are required with clients and project teams Ability to travel outside local area at least 20% of the time, depending on local work load and project locations Must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report, requiredWhy work at Intertek?
