Overview Please note this position is based in our Support Office in Phoenix, AZ. The Supply Chain Senior Project Manager is responsible for enterprise-wide planning, estimating, day-to-day management, leadership, direction, and administration across the full project lifecycle. Over time, the scope of this role will range from managing a single enterprise project or concurrent small and medium sized supply chain projects. The Senior Project Manager will also serve as the lead liaison between multiple departments including but not limited to technology, merchandising, finance, store operations, legal, and third-party vendors, working collaboratively to ensure that the business and supply chain objectives are accomplished successfully. Overview of Responsibilities Be the project leader that successfully accomplishes enterprise-wide supply chain objectives and projects within the constraints of scope, schedule, cost, and quality Manage key strategic projects including but not limited to self-distribution, network expansion (existing DC capabilities and remodels, new DCs), logistics optimization, product flow optimization, store experience improvement, distributor improvement, replenishment improvement, supply chain systems, etc. Develop project plans/schedules, monitor progress, publish updated project plans/schedules and revise plans/schedules to reflect delays, issues, and changes in scope Manage and direct assigned internal and external project resources to best meet project objectives Manage the real estate transaction, design-build, MHE layout and purchasing, and operational turnover of any new or remodeled DCs alongside of third-party vendors Collaborate with category teams (Merchandising, Buying, etc.) to optimize the flow of product from vendor source through Sprouts’ distribution network. Lead the execution of key self-distribution categories Develop detailed understanding of supply chain systems, processes, and key performance indicators in order to develop project scope Partner with finance teams to analyze and organize clear financial metrics to justify new projects and initiatives. Clearly communicate business cases to leadership team Partner with forecast, replenishment, inventory, and category management teams to optimize and improve current systems/process Develop and implement organization structure for each project including roles and responsibilities for each member of the project team Manage and monitor day-to-day activity and provide direction to project team members and supporting organizations Develop supporting project management plans such as scope, cost, risk, schedule, quality, resource, procurement, and change management plans Log all issues and risks. Escalate, when necessary, project issues and risks to project Sponsors, including impact and mitigation assessments and proposals Own all project communication, including status reporting, risk management, and escalation of issues Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from the project Sponsor and stakeholders Conduct post-mortem session and document lessons learned Ensure that all project deliverables and artifacts are stored and maintained Perform other duties as assigned Ability to Travel to effectively manage projects (estimated at 25%) Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 7+ years proven experience managing enterprise SC projects with applied knowledge and experience Extensive MS Office Tools experience (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook) and an understanding of how to leverage and implement with everyday project management scenarios Understanding of and experience with software development and infrastructure project lifecycles, and business planning, with a proven track record of success in multiple complex projects Ability to build a strong network and relationships across intradepartmental business units Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize work, and multi-task across many assignments Ability to assess the impact of new project requirements on an existing teams workload Ability to assess and resolve complex business problems/issues/risks and facilitate conflict management, issue resolution, and risk mitigation Strong planning and estimating skills Strong analytical, business, and financial acumen Ability to tie data from multiple different source points into business cases that are easily digestible for Sprouts leadership Experience creating business requirements, project plans, project schedules, and associated project materials Bachelor’s degree or equivalent additional experience in a related discipline (e.g., supply chain, business, industrial engineering, information technology, etc.) Retail vertical industry experience preferred PMI certification preferred.
