Senior Project Manager - Water Resources

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Water Resources team. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients. Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of diverse hydrologic and hydraulic stormwater modeling and drainage facility design experience supporting private and public sector projects. Candidates must have a willingness to perform a variety of tasks supporting various project types and project managers.

Duties and Responsibilities Lead a team in the preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates for projects of various size and complexityPrepare plan documents, technical reports and supporting design calculationsOversee preparation of detailed construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStationProduce high quality work and implement and maintain quality assurance proceduresCoordinate with other disciplines, support services and subconsultantsCoordinate with government agencies, utility providers or other outside agenciesCoordinate with Clients depending on project roleIdentify applicable codes, standards or other design requirementsPrepare technical specifications and cost estimatesPerform field reviews and other assessments for use in designParticipate in contract bidding, provide limited observation during construction, review submittals and RFIsRepresent clients and firm in meetings with governmental agenciesDevelop and track milestones to ensure on-time and on-budget deliveryMake decisions independently regarding various issues and methodsMentor, train and/or supervise the work of less experienced engineers and/or technical support personnelPrioritize and manage own workload and manage junior staff's workEnsures division, regional, and company values, policies and practices are consistently followed within the service.Lead by example – display solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism Required Skills Outgoing, friendly, approachableExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal skillsStrong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet project deadlinesDetail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamProficient with various stormwater modeling software and knowledgeable with drainage facility design and other related design elementsProficient in AutoDesk Civil3D and/ or MicroStation and Microsoft Office applicationsProficient in the application of local and national design standardsCompetent technical skills required to complete engineering tasksAbility to delegate assignments and determine methods and procedures Required Experience BS in Civil EngineeringLicensed Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in Texas10+ years of progressive experience in the Water Resources Service and stormwater modeling/designThis position requires travel to project sites and other Westwood offices throughout the United States Preferred Experience Previous experience developing relationships with public sector clientsExperience in accounts receivable, invoicing, and overall duties involved in managing a design teamStrong presentation skills paired with the ability to coach and motivate othersPrevious supervisory experienceExperience developing proposals and marketing strategies  About Westwood Professional Services, Inc.
