Senior Project Portfolio Manager
Job Seekers, Please send resumes to resumes@hireitpeople.com Detailed Job Description: Gatekeeper for the overall project portfolio - level intake process. Manage all the assigned projects from initiation to closeout phases. Monitors the health of all project and portfolio initiatives, interdependencies, risks, and issues. Provides reporting mechanisms and standards for all projects in the portfolio, ensuring transparency for stakeholders and leadership. Facilitates a regular cadence of project and portfolio reviews with the management that drives the effective delivery of projects and supports continual learning and improvement for the GTRI operational units and research laboratories. Build and maintain a knowledgebase of internal and external customer practices related to the project and portfolio management practices, resource capacity planning leveraging supported GTRI enterprise-wide tools and processes for portfolio performance reporting. Develop, deploy, and maintain supporting project and portfolio management tools (e.g., project intake form, business case form, prioritization matrices, portfolio KPIs, portfolio dashboard, etc.). Act as a liaison between the project team and other GTRI management teams. Communicate with ESD Director and other Team Leads as necessary to discuss and resolve issues pertaining to resources required to deliver the projects.

Education and other requirements:

A Bachelors degree is required:Preferred degree in Business, Accounting, or IT-related field. 10+ years of senior IT project management experience preferably with large technology implementation projects. 5+ years of experience with various project management frameworks and processes such as Agile. Excellent oral and written communication. Interpersonal, negotiation, planning, judgement, leadership, decision-making, analysis, and problem- solving skills.
