Boston Office based team may travel to NH or Boston is currently supporting several Academic, Life Science and Higher Education projects in Central MA including active projects in Worcester and Amherst. Our pipeline across New England is built out to 2026!

This role presents the opportunity to join our growing scheduling department helping support our business across the New England region.  As our business continues to grow with large projects currently underway and significant pipeline into 2026 we are adding several new hires to support our active and up-coming work.  

 

This role presents the opportunity for a hybrid schedule, requiring the individual to be in the office and/or visit job sites and project teams 3 days a week in the New England area.

 

Project Pursuit

Support development of proposalsSupport all stages of the RFP process including feasibility and constructabilitySupport presentations to potential clients Develop bid schedule options and project logistics

Project Preparation

Deploy best practices in the development of key project guidelines and milestonesPartner with estimating, project management and other key stakeholdersSupport Project teams in the development of Baselines Incorporate Shawmut’s lessons learned to support allocations of resources, durations and logic

Project Scheduling

Work with project teams to ensure every project is set up with a viable schedule, including procurement and required submittalsTransition project to construction phase activitiesPrepare concise monthly schedule narrativesWork with operations to review schedule progress on active projectsParticipate, drive and facilitate team schedule updates to verify performance against the plan Work Collaboratively with project teams to identify impact(s) to critical path(s).  Review results with Scheduling Director and Con Ops / Field Ops staff as requiredDevelop recovery plans, as required by contract terms and conditionsMitigate risks and increase visibility, communication and accountability for all StakeholdersProvides schedule oversight throughout the construction process of projects that have been awarded.On a monthly basis, audit all schedules for conformance to SDC Guidelines and industry standardsAnalyze impacts, early on, to reduce or eliminate potential risk.

Resources’ Development

Coach construction operations’ staff and bring added value in support of their operations.Be well versed in contractual requirements. Partner with IT to dovetail with Technical Training Efforts for software usage.

Regional Reporting

Develop and maintain Regional Reporting on Project Performance, SOP's and RiskGather, organize and apply Project Lessons Learned. Qualifications 8+ years of scheduling experience, with advanced Primavera P6 experience required, working at a General ContractorBe well versed in contractual scheduling requirements for municipal and State projectsExperience tracking RFIs, and Change Order Requests in the monthly progress updatesExperience analyzing impacts due to changes Experience in supporting the development of construction claims Experience developing Time Impact Analysis (TIA) in support of entitlement for Requests for Equitable Adjustments (REAs)Strong presentation skillsAbility to travel in the New England RegionRelocation package available
