The PACE Senior Project Specialist provides leadership and guidance through designing, drafting, and implementing of an efficient and patient-centric access program for all scheduling spaces across the system. This program aims to enhance patient experience, streamline scheduling processes, and reduce complexities and variations within workflows. As a PACE Senior Project Specialist, you will oversee the collaboration of cross-functional teams, leveraging technology and process improvements to create seamless access pathways for patients and front-end staff. Leads will be expected to work autonomously and independently to manage the work at a program level and ensure the success of their teammates and service line stakeholders through the design process by providing education, coaching, and facilitation support.
Essential FunctionsDesign and implement an omnichannel scheduling approach that allows patients to book appointments seamlessly across various channels (online, phone, mobile apps, etc.).Integrate patient portals, telehealth platforms, and other digital tools to enhance access options.Analyze existing workflows within practices and identify unique processes that hinder efficiency and implement best practices to reduce variations and improve overall efficiency.Facilitate the design of scheduling decision trees with the input of practice managers, physicians, and administrative staff to standardize access workflows across clinical service lines.Use design to create the blueprint and build tracker that DS will use to manufacture the decision trees.Collaborate with IT teams to evaluate and implement scheduling software, patient portals, and other relevant technologies.Ensures that integrated areas are kept up to date with technical lifecycle changes and conducts regular follow-ups with the service lines to identify and provide solutions for new/emergent needs.Champion patient-centric (human centered) design principles in access processes.Gather feedback from patients, providers, staff, and leadership to continuously improve access services.Foster a culture of respect, dignity, and compassion for every patient and stakeholder served and engage in continuous learning and improvement.Stay informed about healthcare regulations related to patient access.Collaborate with risk and compliance teams to address any issues proactively.QualificationsRequired
Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field or equivalent5 years of relevant experiencePrior leadership and/or project management experiencePreferred
