Senior Property Accountant
Description We are offering an opportunity for a Senior Property Accountant to join our team in Buffalo Grove, Illinois. The role involves various accounting tasks within the property industry. Responsibilities: • Utilizing your experience in property accounting to ensure financial accuracy • Applying your understanding of Yardi software for effective management of accounting processes • Utilizing your strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and draw relevant conclusions • Ensuring tasks and processes are completed efficiently, demonstrating ownership and initiative • Leveraging your ability to multitask to meet strict deadlines • Utilizing your knowledge of Balance Sheet Reconciliation and GAAP Accounting to maintain accurate financial records • Preparing and presenting financial statements as required • Continuously seeking ways to improve and streamline accounting processes • Using your Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance to contribute to the team's knowledge base and expertise. Requirements • Applicant must possess a substantial understanding of GAAP Accounting principles and its practical applications • Proficiency in Yardi software for property management and accounting operations is required • Demonstrable experience in Financial Statement preparation and analysis is essential • Expertise in Balance Sheet Reconciliation, with the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies • The candidate should be equipped with strong analytical skills for financial data interpretation • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for interacting with various departments and external parties • The role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail for financial reporting and auditing • A solid understanding of property accounting or real estate industry experience would be advantageous • The candidate must have the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for financial data management and reporting is required • The candidate should have a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
