Position – Proposal Manager, Process Automation, CGE (Chemical, Glass & Solar, Energy) at Airoli, Mumbai

Objective – Techno commercial proposal management of Process Automation projects based on Siemens DCS platform for customers in Chemical Industry (Petrochemical, Bulk Chemical, Fine & Specialty Chemical, Consumer Chemical etc.)

Academic Qualifications – Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferably in Instrumentation stream (which provides knowledge of control systems). Electronics or Electrical stream may be accepted depending on relevant experience and / or aptitude of the candidate

Activities to be performed 

- Understanding customer requirements for Process Automation system based on RFQ

- Conceptualizing the system / solution architecture to suit customer requirements

- Estimation of bill of material and preparation of technical proposal 

- Discussion of the proposal with customer leading to technical qualification

- Review and optimization of offered solution from technical & commercial perspective

- Discussion / negotiation with vendors / SCM team to estimate / optimize bought outs

- Based on nature of projects, basic plant engineering and instrumentation engineering (sizing & selection) in select cases

- Leading team of couple of proposal engineers for large project requirements in select cases

Relevant Experience

- Around 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in engineering / project management or proposals for process automation requirements

- Reasonable amount of experience should be in Process Automation Industry for DCS solutions in Chemical or Pharmaceutical verticals

- Out of total relevant experience, at least 2 years should be as ‘Proposal Lead’ as per requirements mentioned in this profile

Soft skills

- Good communication skills to be able to interface with customer and coordinate with team

- High level of result orientation to be able to complete optimum proposals on time

- Good aptitude, high willingness, and ability to learn due to ever changing skill sets requirement
