Sr. Proposal Specialist
IMPACT is an internal resource group devoted to increasing the success rate of gaining, retaining, and expanding business for the company. In this role, the Proposal Manager (PM) handles responses to requests for proposal (RFPs) by coordinating teams, challenging them to effectively create value for the client/prospect, writing/editing proposals, and ensuring that the team meets deadlines. The IMPACT process focuses on creating value propositions by questioning, researching, communicating, and translating client needs to Marsh solutions.
The IMPACT PM designs project plans; facilitates strategy sessions by engaging others to develop critical ideas, messages, and content; and drives “hands on” project implementation.This position is for a seasoned professional individual contributor in Proposal Specialists, who works independently with minimal supervision. This position develops original content for company responses to Requests for Proposal and project manages the proposal process to ensure smooth execution.

We will count on you to:
Writes persuasive proposal/presentation content and executive summaries that is geared toward readers' needs and level of knowledge and that follows company best practice approach.
Reviews Requests for Proposals for complete understanding of proposal submission requirements.
Identifies major strategic opportunities within proposals to help team extract and create more value for/from clients.
Facilitates opportunity strategy formulation, working closely with Client Managers/consulting team to help identify client/prospect business-drivers, and creates the optimal proposal communication strategy, corresponding theme and graphic approach.
Determines research needs, delegates or performs as appropriate.
Identifies internal points of contact to request practice- and project-specific information when information cannot be found in knowledge management system.
Works actively with design team to create optimal design approach/concept, including storyboarding, for opportunity and facilitates design review process.
Manages the proposal/presentation development process, assuming total responsibility for management of the proposal/presentation development process for small/low complexity projects and major responsibility for large/complex projects.
What you need to have:
Bachelors' Degree in business, journalism, marketing, English, communication or other relevant specialty.
5-7 years experience in relevant capacity.
Excellent organizational and communication skills including facilitation, writing, and editing.
Prior RFP and proposal experience preferred
