The Corporate Growth team leads SPA’s business development activities in existing and emerging defense and civilian markets. The group’s core areas of responsibility include capture and proposals, company pipeline development and maintenance, GWAC management, business intelligence research, and the formation of strategic partnerships.

 

SPA has an immediate need for a Senior Proposal Writer. 

Responsibilities

The Proposal Writer will be responsible for developing and writing compelling proposals in response to government solicitations. This includes understanding the requirements, designing the proposal structure, and creating persuasive and compliant content to convince the prospective client. Our ideal candidate has a strong understanding of proposal development, excellent research skills, and the ability to turn complex information into clear and compelling narratives.

Understand and analyze request for proposals (RFPs), request for quotations (RFQs), and requests for information (RFIs).Coordinate with subject matter experts and/or conduct thorough research to gather all relevant information about the proposal subject.Develop and organize compelling proposals in accordance with the company’s strategy and compliance with the client’s requirements.Serve as volume lead and/or lead writer for technical, management, past performance, or staffing volume.Direct teams of writers, as needed, to develop sections within assigned volume or section; Ensure writers stay on internal volume schedule to meet proposal deadlines.Write, revise, and edit drafts including executive summaries, management and technical approaches, past performance, and organization credentials.Work with the team to ensure the timely submission of proposals.Coordinate with various departments and line organizations to gather necessary information for proposals.Suggest improvements to proposal writing processes, procedures, templates, and toolsets. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security ClearanceBachelor's degree in English, Communications, Marketing, or related field7+ years of relevant experienceProven work experience as a Proposal Writer or similar roleExpert mastery of English grammar, spelling, and syntaxExpert mastery of and extensive experience using MS Office products including Word, PowerPoint, and SharePointAbility to support multiple proposals and deadlines

 

Desired Qualifications:
