Senior Provider Compensation Analyst

SUMMARY

Under general direction and as part of a high performing integrated compensation team, performs full scope of activities associated with the design, development, and administration of assigned programs. Manages projects, coordinates activities, and prepares recommendations requiring a broad and thorough understanding of provider compensation design, techniques, methods, and market practices. Serves as internal consultant to assigned functions and/or business units (service lines), providing consultative and analytic support on issues relating to a range of compensation programs and practices. Provides guidance and makes recommendations as needed. As part of the provider compensation team, ensures consistency in implementation and legal compliance of pay practices across the organization. Partners with HR, finance, and business leaders to ensure business needs and objectives are met with best-in-class compensation programs.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Primary point person for assigned functions, business units (service lines) and departments. Utilizes thorough understanding of compensation models and the local and national market to guide local decision-making on full range of compensation matters.

· Participates in design, implementation, and administration of all provider compensation programs. Includes the gathering and manipulating data, calculating compensation, processing changes and payments, and reporting out to individuals and other stakeholders.

· Prepares reports and analyses, including assessments of program affordability and cost to implement. Evaluates proposals for new programs. Monitors effectiveness of on-going programs and makes recommendations for future initiatives. Ensures programs are following federal, state, and local laws.

· Maintains databases in excel and access to support provider compensation programs.

· Ensures the integrity and accuracy of data. Identifies any discrepancies in the data and if data is not being captured correctly, works with the appropriate members of IT or Business Systems Analysts to resolve the issue, and ensure that the data is accurate, and the data integrity is maintained.

· Interacts and consults with the appropriate internal and external parties to ensure an understanding of factors that affect the business data and possible sources of variation. Acts as an independent consultant, providing guidance in data analysis to members of other departments and/or senior management.

· Participates in data collection, submission, and evaluation of compensation surveys.

· Conducts market analysis for physicians and APCs using survey data and guidelines.

· Conducts assessment and review of compensation issues (e.g., salary offers for new hires, new hires, or promotions).

· Develops administrative process to support variable pay needs of specific business groups and the organization.

· Maintain databases that support provider compensation functions.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

· May mentor and direct the work of other compensation team members or junior analysts. basis.

EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

BS/BA preferably in business, finance, human resource management, or data analytics (or equivalent education, training, or experience).

EXPERIENCE

Five to seven years of compensation experience including program development, design, analysis, and implementation required.
