Role Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Python Automation Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and validating test scripts for UDS on CAN, LIN, and/or DOIP diagnostics using Python. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the quality and functionality of vehicle software updates that are regularly deployed on our labcars systems. You will work closely with various engineering teams to drive the quality of hardware and firmware designs throughout their lifecycle. Responsibilities Architecture Understand the vehicle target architecture including ancillary systems. Understand the hardware schematic diagram to develop I/O related test cases and to integrate custom test assets. Develop software and systems for automated test frameworks to validate vehicle systems. Tools Verify the written test cases on test assets such as LabCar and/or vehicle by using PEAK, Vector, or similar tools Develop test cases by utilizing the Python-based framework. Requirement Mapping Design and implement system-level test cases based on requirements, user stories, use cases, and theory of operation, utilizing exploratory testing to enhance requirements coverage. Identify and develop test cases based on understanding of fundamental E/E principles and unique product use cases and designs. Coordinate with design engineers and feature owners to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks as dictated by their respective milestones. Help support and collaborate with design & development engineers for testing needs at all levels. Work collaboratively with various Engineering teams to deliver superior HIL test solutions that helps drive the quality of hardware and firmware designs through their entire life cycle. Qualifications Proficient in Python (or C++) software development, with 2+ years of experience in building and maintaining automated testing suites. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and diagnose software defects, and colla borate with the team to resolve issues effectively. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Hands-on experience debugging embedded system issues (both hardware and software). Plusses: Experience in developing system-level test cases, JAMA, JIRA, Confluence, Jenkins, GIT, UDS, CAN, LIN protocols, and automotive product development environments.
