Senior Python Developer with AWS

Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified software engineer with a strong background in AWS and Python. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Location: Saint Louis – MO or Remote on USA.

Responsibilities

· Analyze and improve the efficiency, scalability, and stability of various system resources.

· Mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

· Stay abreast of new technologies and propose their adoption where beneficial to our projects.

· Ensure the security of our applications by integrating best-in-class security practices.

· Optimize existing systems for improved performance and scalability.

· Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

· Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues as they arise.

· Provide technical leadership in the planning and execution of projects. Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the engineering team.

· Lead the design and implementation of software solutions using AWS and Python, ensuring high performance and scalability.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project specifications and requirements.

· Drive the adoption of best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability.

· A commitment to achieving project goals and deadlines. - Ability to mentor and lead a team of junior engineers.

· This role is pivotal in developing scalable, efficient, and high-performance software solutions that meet our business needs and contribute significantly to our mission of delivering exceptional value to our clients.

Qualifications

· Software Engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience, proficient in AWS and Python, to drive our software development projects forward.

· Proven experience as a software engineer with a strong background in AWS and Python. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

· Hands on development experience in python development, AWS , flask and other python modules

· Experience in the Payer domain is advantageous but not mandatory.

· Passion for technology and staying updated with the latest trends and technologies.

· Required Skills Technical Skills- Python, AWS Domain Skills

Salary and Other Compensation:

Applications will be accepted until 10/25/2024

The annual salary for this position is between $68,422 to 114,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
