Location Overview:

This role is within Global Risk Analytics Technology. The team is made up of 20+ developers spread across London, Dublin, US and India.
Role Description:
This role will be responsible for designing and developing complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements. To ensure solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. We require someone who has a strong proficiency in development and testing practices common to the industry and has extensive experience of using design and architectural patterns. Designs/develops/modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained.
Responsibilities:
• Codes solutions and unit tests to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
• Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• To develop several complex business solutions using Python and SQL.
• Work in a distributed team in an agile environment to design, code and test business solution.
• Developing key relationships with Global Risk Analytics quants team members.
• Develop wider working relationship across the board in CCRT department.
What we are looking for:
• Experience with DevOps tools (example ansible, bitbucket, Jenkins etc)
• Good understanding of testing concepts
• Experience in various database platforms such as relational and NoSQL databases
• Experience working within software development
• Technical Coding skills (preferably python but other languages are acceptable)
• Experience with distributed systems
• Financial experience (understanding Value at Risk models)
Skills that will help:
• Prior experience working in highly regulated environment such as within the banking and finance sector
• Good understanding of Linux/Windows based systems
• Knowledge of Financial Markets and Products
