Senior QA Engineer

Job Summary
Thomson Reuters is seeking to hire experienced Automation Tester for testing the web applications using automated software tools like Selenium, Cucumber etc. This role requires strong knowledge of automated software testing techniques and methodologies. The ideal candidate should have good understanding of agile development environment and experience in working closely with teams in different time zones.

About the Role
In this opportunity as Automation Tester, you will:
• Develop and maintain automated scripts using Selenium and .Net
• Perform functional testing on web applications
• Create and maintain test plans and test cases
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure quality standards are met
• Work closely with QA lead/manager to provide updates on progress and issues encountered during testing
• Utilize problem solving skills to identify defects and propose solutions
• Continuously improve upon existing automated tests by refactoring code or modifying script logic when necessary
• Provide regular reports on test results and suggest improvements
• Stay up-to-date with latest trends in software testing technologies such as AI based testing frameworks, machine learning algorithms etc.

About You
You're a fit for the role of Automation Tester if your background includes:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an automated software tester using Selenium, .NET and C#.
• Strong Proficiency in C# experiecne using visual Studio
• Experience working within Agile environments
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with others across multiple geographies
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform etc. would also be advantageous
• Proficiency in Python programming language along with familiarity of other languages such as HTML, CSS etc.
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline tools such as Jenkins, Docker etc. would be desirable
