Senior QA Engineer
Are you passionate about ensuring top-notch software and hardware quality? Join our team as a **QA Automation Engineer** and play a critical role in transforming our test processes through advanced automation and collaboration with cross-functional teams. You’ll drive test coverage, improve automation frameworks, and mentor colleagues, contributing to delivering high-quality solutions that meet and exceed customer expectations. **What You’ll Do:** + Collaborate with the Principal QA Engineer to define and apply advanced test engineering principles for sustainable, high-value test automation. + Shape the strategic direction of our automation toolset and testing processes. + Work with developers, QA engineers, architects, and Product Owners to optimize software design for automation. + Mentor and coach team members in adopting automation practices. + Review requirements to ensure robust test coverage for hardware and software. + Develop and execute manual and automated test cases for new features and bug fixes. + Maintain and enhance automation frameworks to minimize manual testing, increase efficiency, and improve product quality. + Partner with development teams to design automation-ready features. + Manage and report manual and automated test execution outcomes. + Use Agile methodologies to optimize workflows and drive quality outcomes. + Communicate with technical and operational audiences across various channels. + Maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors and field engineers. + Degree in a related engineering field (or equivalent). + At least 6+ years’ experience in automating software and hardware tests. + At least 3+ years’ experience in exclusively manual software testing. + Strong programming and analytical skills. + Proficient in Typescript (or JavaScript, but with a more OOP-focused language (java, C#) experience as well) is essential. + Experience with Cypress is a considerable advantage. + Proficient in manual system testing, with a focus on UI/browser testing. + Familiar with DB (SQL) and API testing. + Familiar with bench and field-based GPS & mobile communications testing. + Experience in test automation for mobile applications would be a bonus. + Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and oral). + Ability to work to a schedule and confidence to highlight any potential problem areas. + Previous leadership position(s) is an advantage. + Familiarity with JIRA, Bitbucket and TestRail. + A history working within Scrum teams following Agile methodology. + Industry certifications such as CQI/IRCA, ISTQB, CSQA etc. + Personal vehicle and license for the occasional test drive are mandatory. \#HYBRID #LI-AK2 Teletrac Navman Connected Services: We are a leading provider of connected safety, security, and concierge services.
