Senior Quality Assurance Engineer - Electronics

Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team, ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge electromagnetic simulation software, FEKO. As part of the QA team, you will play a critical role in developing and executing test plans, identifying issues, and collaborating with the development team to deliver exceptional software solutions for electromagnetic simulation and analysis. 

Should have a Bachelor's or Masters degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering

What You Will Do:

Test functional areas of the product to find and confirm bugs or performance issues Create scripts and add new automated tests for use cases not yet automated Troubleshoot and make corrections to the existing suite of automated tests Work towards fully automating the testing pipeline Report issues through the bug tracking software and validate fixes to bugs reported  

What You Will Need:

Basics:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. Have completed basic electromagnetic or high frequency techniques courses at university.  Familiarity with FEKO or similar electromagnetic simulation tools is highly desirable. Proficiency in scripting and programming for test automation (e.g., Python, MATLAB). Analytical mindset with good problem-solving and communication skills. Fluent in English

 

Preferred:

Knowledge of computational electromagnetics (CEM) principles and applications. Experience with FEKO. Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and bug-tracking tools (e.g., JIRA). Experience in software quality assurance, preferably for engineering or simulation software.
