About the Job Senior QA Engineer – Telecommute Position PetSmart LLC seeks a full-time Senior QA Engineer – Telecommute Position. This position partners with order management, integration, product, solution, system, and business owners to understand solutions being developed and identify test requirements. Performs formal test activities following industry standard test processes according to established procedures ensuring audit requirements are met. Participates in the creation of integrated test plans and scenarios, test reports, and other supporting documentation and artifacts. Writes test scripts and performs test execution, including functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, and model-based automation to meet functional, performance, scalability, and security goals. Partners with Application Analysts and other testers in test execution. Defects detection and independent analysis, reproducing and isolating reported defects to narrow field of focus, and technical collaboration with analysts and developers for root-cause analysis. Maintains consistent test case execution, defect documentation, and tracking. Assists with environment management and solution migration through development, Quality Assurance (QA), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) environments working closely with release management. Assists with tracking QA metrics such as test execution, defect densities, and open defect counts. Contributes to the test plan and testing status reports for all assigned projects and work efforts. Effectively, manages multiple testing activities. Quickly learns applications responsible to test. Demonstrates solid analytical and problem-solving skills. May telecommute from any location in the U.S. HQ in Phoenix, AZ. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 5 years related (progressive, post-baccalaureate) experience. Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Working with waterfall and Agile Development methodologies; 2) Performing manual test case preparation and execution, including regression testing, smoke testing, and feature testing; 3) Performing automated test case preparation and execution; 4) Working with core software applications, including Manhattan Warehouse Management System and Manhattan Order Management System; and 5) Using tools to support test execution and management such as qTest, Tosca, JMeter, Jira, or Confluence.
