Position Overview:
Verra Mobility is currently developing innovative new features, and we’re looking for top quality Engineers to ensure our very high-quality bar is met and raised. As a Senior Quality Assurance Analyst, you will design and build test suites and maintain automation tests. The Senior Quality Assurance Analyst will also be responsible for creating and reviewing manual and automation test strategy/test plans/test cases for the sprint along with carrying out defect triage. To be successful in this role, you must display robust interpersonal skills, have a high aptitude for technical learning. Be approachable and willing to engage quickly, multi-task efficiently, demonstrate discipline and initiative to consistently solve complex problems in a fluid, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of composure, transparency, and professionalism during daily interaction with peers, customers, management, and external partners.
Essential Responsibilities:
Quickly ramp up and gain relevant domain and technology knowledge. Work on sprints or tickets based on the priority from Product. Writing and executing test plans, debugging, and reporting code bugs and pushing quality upstream. Work closely with the automation team and developers to ensure all automation coding standards are met and followed. Set up Automation Test Environment for multiple application platforms and work in CI/CD set up. Design, build, and execute Web, API, Backend test scripts by translating manual regression test cases into automated test scripts. Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues. Provide recommendations for improvement of applications to stakeholders. Collaborate with Developers, Development Managers, Business, Product Owners and other teams to ensure the highest quality of the product by architecting automation focused solutions.Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) and 8-10 years in software quality assurance role. Good communication and ability to handle multiple projects and task responsibilities simultaneously. Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Hands-on experience with automated testing tools like Selenium, Cypress. Good Knowledge and experience on API testing and Backend & Micro services testing. Have a firm understanding of SQL or PL/SQL and relational database concepts Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases. Hands-on experience with both black box testing and debugging skills. Experience with cloud technologies (a plus)
