Senior Quality Control Technician

**This position is for a Friday- Sunday 12 hour shift**
**starting pay $22/hour**
**Description**
The inspector will be responsible for inspection and inventory control using basic skills and knowledge of appropriate procedures, methods, and techniques, as well as applicable current good manufacturing practices. The holder of this position will help to ensure our vendors are meeting their commitments to Hale specifications.
• Adhere to all company EH&S policies and procedures. Report any safety and maintenance needs to supervisor/manager.
• Inspects purchased parts & materials for conformance to specifications.
• Perform Incoming Inspections based on known criteria and part specifications.
• Approves or rejects items, and records inspection and disposition information.
• Works with engineering to create first article reports.
• Reports rejected material to management via report.
• Fills out required logs and reports using Microsoft Excel.
• Label all cartons with labels in a neat and consistent manner.
• Label rejected material per the defined process.
• Generate DMRs as needed for rejected material.
• Scanning, filing and archival of QC related documents
• Moves received and inspected material to applicable locations.
• Issues material to manufacturing.
• Perform other activities as assigned by management
• Works in a collaborative team setting with quality and operations counterparts that include Manufacturing Operations, Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse Operations.
• Train others as necessary.
• Participate in quality meetings, continuous improvement projects, and other meetings as required.
• Use JDE and other software as needed.
• Professionally interact with team members and internal customers. Develop and sustain strong relationships with other departments.

• Experience in a fast-paced shop environment supporting multiple priorities preferred.
• Prior machining experience or proven mechanical aptitude preferred.
• JDE experience preferred.
• MS Excel and MS Word experience required.
• SolidWorks Vault preferred.
• Competent in the use of computer systems required.
• Print reading experience required.
