Senior Quality Engineer

Your Role

The role of the Sr. Quality Engineer reports to the Quality Director. The role will be focused on supporting quality activities throughout the business, including working with engineering and operations to improve control systems in the manufacturing process.

Your Responsibilities

Develop and improve quality processes with a focus on manufacturing process quality ensuring efficiency.  Create working documents for quality tasks and train to quality and manufacturing teams as needed.  Improve and maintain, author and implement ISO9001 compliant systems that support quality Manufacturing. Develop, improve and maintain manufacturing process audit programs to ensure best practices and adherence to process definition. Conduct root cause analysis and bring to closure any quality issues that are identified on the manufacturing line or from customer returns. Author and execute CARs/SCARs as required to resolve internal/external quality issues. Support product/process qualifications including trials, testing and reporting activities. Statistically analyze production data using SQL, Excel, and Minitab to generate reports designed to resolve quality issues and improve production yield/throughput in collaboration with Manufacturing and Engineering. Work with suppliers to review any quality issues that require resolution due to internal manufacturing yield impact. Participate in various special projects that support the quality, manufacturing and engineering teams.

Skills/Qualifications

Education in Quality, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is preferred 5+ years of experience as a quality or manufacturing engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment Experience in Development and New Product Introduction is preferred Experience in implementing and maintaining ISO9001 systems in manufacturing Experience and working knowledge of key quality tools used in the manufacturing (5-Why, Fishbone, Gage R&R, GD&T, 8D/CAPA for RCCA) Experience working with database systems in order to extract, format, analyze and report out conclusions/recommendations Hands on experience using metrology equipment from basic hand tools to CMM, vision systems and similar

Pay Range: $115,000 - $135,000

*Base salary only. Salary dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
