Summary: Seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support new product development, lean implementation, process capability improvement, and quality system management.
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in aerospace quality and manufacturing
Experience in blueprint reading and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
Knowledge of FAA Repair Station regulations and requirements
Understanding of government contract requirements
Familiar with major aerospace prime customer requirements
Proficiency in Six Sigma tools and methodology; green belt or black belt experience preferred
Lean manufacturing practices expertise
Bachelor of Science degree in technical field, ASQ certification, or extensive verifiable experience
Preferred Skills:
Experience with flight critical components/systems
Demonstrated working knowledge of problem-solving tools (5-Whys, FMEA, 8-D)
Aerospace Quality Management Systems knowledge (ISO 9001, AS9100, AS9110)
Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Project
Job Responsibilities:
Interface with customer Quality representatives on all Quality-related issues
Drive manufacturing process capability improvements through variation reduction and statistical process control
Collect and analyze quality data to identify opportunities for improvement
Provide leadership on problem-solving teams to drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action plans
Represent Quality department on New Product Introduction teams
Review and approve First Article Inspection reports per AS9102
Perform Purchase Order review for existing programs
Manage major program manufacturing process qualification
Support Supplier Quality Engineering for supplier quality development
Pay Details: $100,000.00 to $120,000.00 per year
