Senior Quality Improvement Specialist

 

American National is seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to conduct quality claims audits to maintain claims guidelines, consistent processes, and level of quality standards. You may also perform estimate reviews and/or do full re-inspections. In other cases, you may be responsible for assisting an analyst, a specialist, the department, and/or other high-level positions that handle operational functions of the business area. 
 
What You'll Do
 
•    Conduct quality assurance reviews to maintain compliance and technical quality according to operational guidelines and internal processes; including requesting follow-up action, monitoring completion and/or reports, as necessary
•    Investigate, evaluate, and negotiate, and settle claims with serious to highest severity/complexity and highest exposure to the company (more than $1 million)
•    Conduct internal staff and external vendor audits/re-inspections
•    Communicate business results with peers and/or senior leadership
•    Validate complex total and large loss evaluation accuracy
•    Provide training to lower-level employees and/or other areas, as well as management when technical expertise is needed
•    Develop, monitor, and/or modify procedures and process guidelines as related to vendor dealings and systems
 
What You'll Need
 
•    Currently hold an appropriate state adjuster license or obtain following date of hire (American National will incur all fees associated, no out of pocket expenses)
•    Relevant technical work experience. 3 years, or more of property claims, or field claims experience preferred, but not required.
•    Working knowledge of estimating programs preferred
•    Ability to deploy, as needed, to handle losses for catastrophe or organizes task forces and helps regulate activity and monitor progress in the absence of management

Salary for this position can range from $63472.50 for candidates who are minimally qualified through $79,000 for more highly qualified candidates. Candidates outside of the range are encouraged to apply, and will be considered based on experience, skill and education.
