Senior Quality Manager, Aerospace Americas

As the Multi-Function Senior Quality Manager you will manage quality assurance and control responsibilities for our Aerospace USCA business across the United States and Canada. You will oversee quality programs for both commercial and military aerospace operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. As an important member of the regional global quality leadership team, you will foster continuous improvement and a culture of quality excellence. This is a hybrid position that can be based in Sylmar, CA., Grand Prairie TX., or Huntsville, AL. You will report to the Global Quality Director, Aerospace.

Key Responsibilities 

Develop, and manage the Quality Management System (QMS) for aerospace operations in compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and other relevant standardsProvide strategic leadership for quality plans, aligning with our goals for USCALead a team of quality professionals across multiple locationsEnsure adherence to FAA, DoD, EASA, and other applicable regulatory requirementsLead internal and external audits, including certification and recertification processesManage and resolve non-conformances, driving corrective and preventive actionsPromote Lean, Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies to enhance quality processes and reduce wasteAnalyze measurements (KPI's)  to identify trends and implement data-driven improvementsLead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for quality-related issuesConduct risk assessments, including Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), to find and address quality risksDevelop and execute quality plans for new product introductions and process changes
 

Qualifications 

US CitizenBachelor’s degree in engineering, Quality Management, or a related field10+ years of experience in quality management, with at least 5 years in the aerospace industryExperience managing quality for both commercial and military aerospace programs is idealIn-depth knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regulations, and DoD standardsProficiency in quality tools and methodologies, including SPC, RCA, CAPA, and APQPFamiliarity with inspection and testing techniques, including NDT and CMMExperience using statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP)Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) or equivalent is idealSix Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification Lead Auditor certification for AS9100 or ISO 9001 #LI-HybridSalary Range $160,000-$180,000 plus annual bonus
