Introduction
We are seeking a Senior Quality Manager, Repairs to join our team. You will be responsible for Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the Repairs Product Group's quality management system and quality improvement processes, working closely with Market Areas (MA), Business Areas (BA) and Corporate Quality teams. In this position, you will report to VP, Repairs Product Group.
This position is mainly located in Brookfield, WI, Burlington, ON, Mesa, AZ, Montreal, QC, York, PA. but we are willing to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. There will be up to 50% of travel required for the role.

You will join a team of Quality Experts committed to service customers in the mining and aggregates business as well as other industrial markets around the world. The Senior Quality Manager can effectively work with multiple stakeholders to develop, implement, monitor, and develop a globally harmonized quality management system for the Repairs business in accordance with Metso policies and procedures.
What You’ll Do
Global Quality Standards: Develop and harmonize quality standards, assurance, and control processes in partnership with product Business Lines, Repairs technical support, and Service Center quality teams. This includes inspections, reporting, welding, machining, and disassembly/assembly activities. System Implementation: Support Service Centers in adopting and implementing the Repairs quality management system. KPI Development: Create quality-related KPIs and monthly reports. Facilitate the implementation of quality targets and action plans across the Repair business and service center network. ISO Standards: Assist Service Centers with ISO standard implementation. Feedback Management: Oversee the feedback process for internal and external complaints, driving continuous improvement to eliminate root causes and standardize practices across the Repairs business. Issue Escalation: Ensure quality issues with parts affecting the Repairs business are escalated to the appropriate product business lines and collaborate with those teams to resolve them. Audits and Compliance: Conduct audits on Service Centers’ quality performance and management process compliance, and work with them to develop and implement corrective actions. Training and Development: Support competency development and training for quality personnel in quality assurance, quality control, continuous improvement, and LEAN methodologies. Representation: Represent Repairs on quality topics within the Metso Quality Board, corporate QEHS, and various BA and MA quality organizations. Community Building: Develop a Repairs quality community to foster collaboration and share best practices among quality professionals in the Repairs business, including Service Center, BL, and MA Quality resources.
Who You Are
Educational Background: Degree in engineering, business, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience). Experience: Minimum of 5 years of practical experience in quality management, particularly within the Mining or Aggregates industries or in a repair center environment. ISO-9001 Expertise: Proven experience in establishing ISO-9001 Quality Management Systems is desirable. Certifications: ISO Lead Auditor certification and Lean Six Sigma knowledge or certification are valuable assets. Welding Expertise: Experience with welding inspections and weld procedure development. AWS Certified Welding Inspector credential is desirable. Repair Processes: Familiarity with various repair processes, procedures, and work methods. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of metrology and non-destructive testing methods and equipment. Industry Standards: Knowledge of industry-standard technical documents, including but not limited to ASME, AWS, ASNT, and ISO. Communication Skills: High written and oral communication skills. Coordination Skills: Effective planning and coordination abilities, with the capacity to work effectively with multiple stakeholders across different time zones. Technical Proficiency: Technical understanding of Metso technologies and comprehensive computer skills (MS Office suite); SAP proficiency is an asset. Leadership: Demonstrated ability to assist with influence and create positive change management. Customer Focus: A customer-oriented mindset with a deep understanding of customer needs and operations.
